How we work
No lecture. No audience.
A hoarding cleanout isn’t a normal junk removal job. The stuff on the floor is the easy part. The hard part is standing there while two strangers carry your life out to a trailer, and most folks have been putting that day off for years.
So we show up in a plain pickup and a dump trailer. No wrap, no phone number down the side. We park where you tell us to park. Your house doesn’t go on social media, and the only pictures we take are the before-and-afters we send you. Those stay private unless you tell us otherwise.
Want to be there and go through it with us? Fine. Rather hand us a key and come back when it’s done? Also fine. We’ve done it both ways and neither one needs explaining.

What it costs
How hoarding cleanouts get priced
By volume and by labor, same as any job. The difference is hoarding work is slow. A room you could empty in twenty minutes if it were stacked takes two hours when every armful has to be looked at first.
Three things move the number more than anything else. How much of it there’s, which is what the photos tell us. Whether we’re sorting or straight-hauling, because sorting is slow. And access — a second-floor room with a narrow staircase costs more than a ground-floor room ten feet from where the trailer sits.
Most whole-house hoarding jobs are multi-load and more than one day, and we quote them that way instead of starting and then discovering it. If the number is more than you expected, say so. We can do it in stages, worst room first, and spread it out.

What we’re not equipped for
We’re a hauling company, not a remediation contractor, and there’s work in this category that needs somebody licensed differently. We’ll tell you that on the phone instead of after we have started.
Human or animal waste beyond ordinary pet accidents, used needles, blood, and anything that would be classed as a biohazard all need a licensed remediation firm. Same for black mold behind the walls, and for any property that has had a death in it that wasn’t attended.
We don’t take liquid paint, chemicals, fuel, propane tanks, asbestos or medical waste, because no disposal site in Maryland, Delaware or Pennsylvania will accept them from a hauling truck. If a hoarded property has a lot of that, tell us up front and we’ll tell you who to call first.
None of that stops us doing the rest of the house. It just means somebody else goes first in one room.

Are you going to judge me or my family?
No. We have done enough of these that nothing in your house is going to surprise us, and it isn’t our business how it got that way. One of our customers said the thing that had stopped her calling anyone for years was being embarrassed. That’s the most common reason people wait, and it’s the one we can do something about.
Does anybody need to be there while you work?
Only if you want to be. Plenty of people hand us a key and go to work. If you’d rather supervise every armful, that’s fine too. What we do need before we start is a clear answer on what’s being kept, even if that answer is just "the papers and the photographs."
What happens if you find money or something valuable?
It gets set aside and handed to you. So do documents, photographs, jewelry and anything that reads as important. If we find a firearm we stop and call you instead of moving it ourselves.
How long does a whole house take?
Most are more than one day. A packed three-bedroom is usually two to four working days depending on how much sorting is involved and how far we have to carry. We’ll give you a day count with the quote, not after.
Can we do it in stages instead of all at once?
Yes, and for a lot of families that works better. We start with the room that’s causing the most trouble — usually a kitchen or a bathroom that has stopped being usable — and come back for the rest when you’re ready.
Do you handle biohazard, needles or animal waste?
No. That needs a licensed remediation contractor and we’ll say so before we quote. We can still clear the rest of the property once that part is dealt with.
Will the neighbors know?
Not from us. We come in a pickup and a dump trailer with no company wrap, we park where you tell us, and we don’t post anything without your say-so.
