There’s a fourth input people forget: which disposal system the load goes into. Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania waste all go to different facilities at different rates, and a hauler crossing a state line is paying differently than one who isn’t. We break that down by state here.

Stand back far enough
Get the whole pile in one frame instead of five close-ups. We’re sizing volume, and a close-up of a chair tells us nothing about how much is behind it.
Put something in frame for scale
A car, a garage door, a person. Brush piles and debris heaps are genuinely hard to size without a reference, and scale is the difference between an accurate quote and a revised one.
Shoot the path, not just the pile
One photo from where a truck would park, looking toward the stuff. That single picture tells us about stairs, carry distance, gates, and parking — which is most of the labor.
Say what floor it’s on
And whether there’s a bulkhead, a driveway, or only street parking. Thirty seconds of typing saves a revised quote later.

How much does junk removal cost in Cecil County, MD?
It comes down to three things: how much space the load takes in the truck, what it weighs, and how far it has to be carried and hauled. Household junk and furniture are priced by volume. Heavy material — concrete, dirt, shingles, tile — is priced by weight instead, because a small pile of it outweighs a full load of couches. Why won’t you publish a price list?
Because a flat rate published in advance is either padded to cover the worst case or it gets revised on your driveway. Neither is a good outcome for you. The variables that actually set the price — volume, weight, stairs, carry distance, and which state's disposal system it goes into — aren’t knowable from a webpage. They’re knowable from two photos, which is why we ask for photos.
Is a truck cheaper than renting a dumpster?
For a one-day cleanout, usually yes, because you aren’t paying for delivery, pickup, or the days the container sits in your driveway doing nothing. For a two-week renovation producing debris continuously, a roll-off is probably the better tool and we’ll tell you so instead of sell you the wrong thing.
Do you charge for the estimate?
No. Photo estimates are free and so are on-site walkthroughs on larger jobs. There’s no trip charge and no obligation.
What makes a job more expensive?
Stairs, long carries, no place to park a truck, heavy material, and distance from our yard in North East. What makes it cheaper: everything already outside or in an open garage, metal in the load that can go to a recycler instead of the scale, and bundling several items into one trip instead of separate visits.
Do you take payment on the job?
Yes — cash, check, or card when the work is done. On commercial and property-management work we invoice the company and can set up terms.
Would a dumpster be cheaper than hiring you?

Do you do same-day junk removal?
