gets priced
Furniture is priced by the space it takes in the truck, not by weight, because a couch is bulky and light. The two things that move the number are how much of the truck it fills and how far we have to carry it — a sectional coming down two flights of stairs is more work than the same sectional sitting in an open garage.

What happens to it
Where the
furniture goes
Anything still usable gets offered to a donation center before it goes anywhere near a landfill. That is not a marketing line — a couch that finds a second home costs us nothing in tipping fees, so the incentives line up.
What is genuinely finished gets broken down. Wood, metal, and fabric separate more easily than people think, and the metal goes to a recycler rather than onto the scale.
The rest goes to a permitted facility — the Cecil County Central Landfill in Elkton for Maryland jobs, DSWA facilities for Delaware, and the Lanchester Landfill for Pennsylvania. Nothing gets dumped on a back road, and we can tell you exactly where your load went.
Furniture Removal questions
Before
you book
Do I have to move the furniture outside first?
No. That is the job. We come in, carry it out, and load it. If you have already put it at the curb that is fine too and it usually costs a little less, but it is not expected.
Can you take a couch that will not fit back through the door?
Yes. Some sectionals and sleepers went in before a doorway was framed or a basement was finished and genuinely will not come back out whole. We will tell you before we start cutting, and it does not change the price.
Will you take a piano or a pool table?
Usually, but tell us in advance. An upright piano and a slate pool table are both far heavier than they look and need the right number of people. It is a different quote than a couch.
Do you buy furniture or only remove it?
We only remove it. If something has real resale value you are better off selling it yourself — we will happily point that out rather than haul off something worth money.
