Junk Removal · Wilmington, Delaware

Junk removal
in Wilmington.

Wilmington is the far end of our Delaware range and it is city work — rowhouses, no driveways, street permits on some blocks, and stairs. It is also where the region’s main landfill is, which offsets more of the drive than you would think.

What we haul

Wilmington
jobs we run

Every one of these is a service we run in Wilmington week in and week out. Follow a link for how that specific job gets priced.

Where we work in town

Wilmington,
street by street

We work the city neighborhoods — Trolley Square, Little Italy, the Highlands, Browntown, and the blocks off Route 13 and Route 202 — plus the suburbs out toward Talleyville and Claymont. Rowhouse basements and third-floor walkups are normal here, and the labor is in the carry, not the drive.

Where it goes

Disposal in
New Castle County

Delaware runs its waste through the Delaware Solid Waste Authority, so a Wilmington job does not touch the Maryland system at all. Most of what comes off a truck up here goes to Cherry Island Landfill at 1706 East 12th Street in Wilmington, open 7am to 5pm weekdays and 7am to 3pm Saturday.

For jobs south of the canal, the Pine Tree Corner Transfer Station at 276 Pine Tree Road in Townsend is the closer gate — Monday through Saturday, 7am to 5pm. Which one we use depends on where you are, and both are priced by weight.

Because Maryland county facilities will not take Delaware-generated waste, a hauler who is set up only for Cecil County is either turning your job down or eating a long detour. We run both sides of the line and quote Wilmington on Delaware numbers, not Maryland ones.

Wilmington questions

Before
you call

Is Wilmington too far for you to be competitive?

On a small job, honestly, probably. On a full house, an estate, or a multi-unit turnover we are worth a quote — Cherry Island Landfill is right there on East 12th Street, so our disposal run is short once we are in the city. Text photos and we will give you a straight answer either way.

What about parking and street access?

On tight blocks we stage on the street and work quickly to keep it clear. If your block needs a permit for a work vehicle, that is on the property owner to arrange, and it is worth checking before we schedule.

Can you come out this week?

Often, yes. It depends on how big the job is and what is already booked. Text photos to 410-996-4860 and we will tell you the soonest day we can actually be at your Wilmington address.

Does someone need to meet you on site?

Only if we have to go inside an occupied home. Otherwise leave us access and get on with your day. We photograph the work before and after so you can see exactly what left the property.

Can you take paint and chemicals?

Not liquid ones. Fully dried-out paint in an open can is fine; anything still wet, plus gasoline, solvents and propane tanks, has to go to a household hazardous waste collection day. Cecil County runs them a few times a year — call 410-996-6275 for the next date.
